Data sovereignty as a success factor for digital ecosystems

Innovation in business ecosystems is increasingly taking place through the cross-company exchange of data. When providing data, however, producers and data owners are often at risk of losing control of the strategic value of their data resources. The consequence of this is that the sharing of data to date is limited and thus the potential of data ecosystems remain unused. The International Data Spaces address this cross-industry conflict by enabling data sharing while protecting data sovereignty and aim to create a secure data room that enables businesses of all types and sizes to manage their assets with confidence.

As part of the International Data Spaces initiative, the Fraunhofer Academy and the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Technology ISST offer the seminars »Basic Seminar Data Sovereignty and International Data Space».
