In collaboration with FIWARE and PROSTEP, the International Data Spaces Association has created a testbed that demonstrates how data sovereignty, block-chain, and open source technologies can be jointly used to break information silos. It can, hereby, provide a seamless and controlled exchange of data across digital twins.
"This is a unique combination of world-leading organizations bringing the digital twin to life along the product life cycle." - Ulrich Ahle, CEO FIWARE Foundation
The testbed was displayed at the IoTSWC Barcelona 2019 among 10 other testbeds. Witnessing its functionality and presentation, this testbed gained a great deal of popularity among its audience.
Read the statements below to gain further insights into this testbed:
"It is a real data economy use case become true: A lot of companies are sharing data and that was only a success because they have a mechanism to trustworthy share and match data sets. This is provided by the International Data Spaces Association with our Reference Architecture where we define "clean-rooms" for data, our IDS connector, where you can put in data, match them and gain insights and benefit by manipulating data out of it."
- Lars Nagel, CEO IDSA
"Fiware is providing the open source based solution and implementation for the trusted digital twin concept which is breaking down silos along the whole product lifecycle."
- Ulrich Ahle, CEO FIWARE Foundation
"Being able to share information faster in a trusted manner will allow us to deliver more robust solutions for our machines, better processes and in doing so, more cost effectively and in less time."
- Oscar Lazaro, Managing Director of Innovalia, Facilitator of the Spanish IDSA Hub
